We are a small friendly Baptist Church with a BIG heart where everyone is welcome!
Our Church family ranges from our youngest twin boys born in December 2019 to our oldest who is 99 and many of our family are very new to church life!
Our aim is to open the doors and love people and our guiding verse for 2021 is Isaiah 43: 18-19
We are open again for Sunday services @ 10.45am every Sunday followed by refreshments. Our Communion service is the 1st Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome 🙂
We are also continuing to pre-record the service for those unable to attend and this is available on YouTube or via DVD
Godly Play is the way that we share the Gospel message with our children. Sadly we have not been able to have an in person session since March 2020 - however Arnie has produced many Godly Play stories on line which can be viewed on our YouTube Channel along with other specials by Duggy Dug Dug!
We are planning to restart Godly Play in person from mid November - hooray!
This Sunday Sue is away on a Study weekend so there is no pre-recorded service, however Kev & John will be at SSJBC to share about the amazing work of the roadHOG Youth Project and also to get a chance to see the bus!
The roadHOG is an Ecumenical project and it will start to visit Sutton St James fortnightly from 12th of November 🙂
This Sunday we will be meeting at SSJBC for 10.45am followed by a cuppa and a chat - but if you are unable to join us in person we hope you enjoy our pre-recorded service. 🙂
Arnie, Duck, Olaf & Bagpuss are so looking forward to restarting Godly Play in person from mid September - hooray!
They are off on their holidays now, but you can still enjoy watching some of the many pre-recorded stories via our YouTube Channel.
See you in September!
Sunday 11th July was the third of the 5 Star services where the 5 Baptist Churches of Wisbech, Holbeach, Fleet, Long Sutton & Sutton St James come together to praise and worship our awesome God.
We do hope you enjoy joining us 🙂
We are now back in our building again until 26th October 2021
Join us for an alternative take on Halloween, including parachute games, glow sticks, pumpkin carving and more!
This FREE event is for the whole family and light refreshments will be provided. Financial donations are appreciated

Renew SSJ is part of the national Renew Wellbeing Network of 'quiet shared spaces where it is ok not to be ok.'
Come and enjoy a cuppa and a chat, maybe a game of draughts or scrabble or enjoy doing a jigsaw.
This activity is supported by an investment from the Lincolnshire Mental Health Promotion Fund
The first meeting of the choir was a great success - as such we will be meeting fortnightly at 7pm on Thursday evenings commencing on 23rd September.
This will be a community activity for people of all ages and all abilities with the main focus being fun 🙂
It's not too late to get involved!
Why not join us for our Bible Study which will recommence on 30th September and will then run fortnightly at SSJBC.
We are a friendly group who enjoy reading God's word and seeking to understand how it applies to our lives today.
Please let Sue know if you plan to come.
Your envelope will be hung on our cross - unopened & at the end of 2021 your envelope will be posted back to you - still unopened - only you and God know what you promised before Him....
At SSJBC we collect items all year round which many of us throw away - these help us to support two very good causes Air Ambulance and BMS World Mission.
We will also be collecting again for the Food Bank later in 2021
Please do support us if you are able 🙂
At SSJBC we are committed to creating a safe and rewarding environment where all are welcome to come, hear and experience the Gospel message.
As such we have a robust Safeguarding Policy based on Baptist Union guidelines to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
